Words fascinate me — and the thousands of pages I have written back this statement up. My communication skills have served my employers and clients well over the years. I’ve written a novel, awaiting publication, and currently I’m working on a book to inspire people to turn their fear into an asset.
I am bi-cultural, and have been published as often in English as in French. I was born in Québec to a francophone family; I got my Bachelor’s degree in humanities (psychology and marketing) from Concordia University and my Master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University in Chicago.
From 1981 to 1997, I lived in Chicago, Toronto and rural Ontario; then I returned to Montreal. My experience includes managing the recruitment of publications and advertising at Humber College, in Toronto, owning four bookstores in rural Ontario, and writing a weekly column on books, as well as newsletters, profiles, press releases and humourous articles and speeches. I am a member of the Periodical Writers Association of Canada.
My favourite topics include: social trends and issues, health, success stories, personal growth and the environment.
My clients include the Carver Institute (training and consulting), Indispensable, a magazine specializing in business events, the magazine Entreprendre, colleges in Quebec and Ontario, communications businesses, the Ontario Minister of Education and the Leger Foundation.
